The announcement made by the SER network, is related to a project recovered from the former deputy mayor Begoña Villacís, who spoke about it in March 2020.

Sanz explained that at the moment they have only started "geotechnical studies" and that from there the City Council "will take the appropriate decisions". She argued that the project could help to "regenerate" an area that in her opinion is "deteriorated" but that could be a new point of attraction for the city.

Asked if it is a project offered by an external agent or if it is an idea of the City Council, she replied that it is only being "evaluated" and that she understands that it may "be positive for the city to have a point of attraction that is recognisable similar to what occurs in other European cities."

If the studies determine that it is not possible to install the attraction in that area, the City Council is open to evaluating "other alternatives", although she did not specify which ones.
