In addition to a parade, Benidorm Fest will bring the performance of some artists linked to the festival, among whom the name of Jorge González has already been confirmed.

The aim is to attract a larger national audience to a Pride event where the English accent has predominated for years; the British community must be recognised for its enthusiasm for participating, which, together with the great work of numerous leisure venues that organise performances and all kinds of parallel activities during the week, have contributed to the fact that the Benidorm Pride week has crossed borders and is considered one of the most significant on the continent.

Regarding the parade, scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday 7th, the organisation has announced that 20 floats and a variety of vehicles will take part, increasing the participation of previous years. The route will be the same, leaving at 5pm from Rincón de Loix and travelling along Paseo de Levante and the Mediterráneo and l’Aigüera avenues until reaching the Julio Iglesias auditorium.

After the Parade, and in the same auditorium, the ‘Main Stage’ party will be held. These two parties will be joined in the previous days by the ‘White Party’, also in the Julio Iglesias auditorium; the ‘Pool Party’, at the Marina Resort Hotel; and the ‘Queen of the palace’ at Ku Lounge Café. On the same Saturday, after the ‘Main Stage’, it will be the turn of the ‘Kluster After Party’ at Penélope Benidorm; while the ‘Closing Party’ will move to the Óscar Esplá amphitheatre in Parque de l’Aigüera. In addition, and as usual, there will be daily parties in the LGBT venues in the Old Town.

One of the notable novelties is the launch of a cultural agenda that the organisation considers “the icing on the cake, what was missing” for this celebration. It has been designed by the Department of Equality and includes an exhibition and a film series.

On Monday 2nd at midday the exhibition ‘Voices’ by ‘El chico llama’, the artistic name of the illustrator Javier Navarrete, will be inaugurated, which can be visited throughout the week in the afternoon in the exhibition hall of the Casa del Fester.

As for the ‘Cine con Orgullo’ cycle, it will take place on Wednesday 4th at 8:00 p.m. in the Town Hall’s Assembly Hall, where the documentary film ‘Pride’ and the short film ‘Muerta en la Bañera’ by Juan Dresán will be screened. Precisely Dresán, a regular attendee of Benidorm Pride, will be awarded the ‘LGBT Tolerance Award’ in this edition.
