According to data from the employers' association Hosbec, hotel occupancy in the Costa Blanca is above 90%, with reports of full occupancy in the most popular destinations such as Benidorm, Altea and Calp as well as Gandía (Valencia) and Peñíscola (Castellón).

Hosbec also highlights that since the beginning of July and also in the first half of August, that there has however been a slight decrease of o more than two points in occupancy compared to last year.

However, hoteliers stress, "these are not alarming figures since a long-term look reflects that the levels from January to date maintain, and in some cases raise, the average of the previous year in this same period."

As for the specific occupancy data for the first half of August, the Costa Blanca as a whole (not including Benidorm) has recorded an occupancy rate of 89.8% compared to 91.5% for the same period last year.

The same trend has been followed by the main destination on the Costa Blanca, Benidorm, whose data, as always, are analysed separately from the rest of the province. The tourist capital of the Valencian Community has closed the first 15 days of August with an average occupancy of 89.8%, just over two points below the same period in 2023.
