After the changes, the income threshold required for the gold card (Tarjeta Oro) will be raised from the current 900 euros to 1,025 euros for people aged 65 or over, residing in Malaga city.

Those who can access gold cards, people with incomes of between 1,025 and 1,445 euros per month, will be able to access the Tarjeta Oro 10, the cost of the card will be 9.95 euros per month with unlimited travel. People with an income of more than 1,445 euros per month will also have a discount with the Gold 27 card, which allows unlimited journeys on the entire EMT network for 27 euros per month. It is worth remembering that until 30 June they are 50% subsidised, in accordance with the Royal Decree Law which subsidises 30% of the price of public transport and the contribution of 20% by the Consistory.

With this update, the price of a single ticket on EMT buses is now on a par with transport companies in cities such as Valencia and Valladolid.
