The data can be found in the Air Observatory published by the Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies (CEAV) and Reclama Travel, according to a report by Publituris.
According to the same sources, a total of 169,195 flights were operated in August 2025, a lower number than the same period in 2024, as in August 2024, there were 169,534 flights.
Despite the overall decline, airports such as Málaga-Costa del Sol saw an increase of 580 flights compared to August 2024. Next in line was Alicante-Elche Airport, which saw an increase of 209 flights. In turn, air traffic in Spain gained 49 new routes, with the national route with the most operations being the route between Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca, which registered 725 flights, followed by the reverse route, with a record of 717 flights.
