This Monday the greatest instability is expected in the east of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands with cloudy skies and probable occasional showers and storms.
The heat, which already began to be intense this weekend, exceeding 40ºC in the southwest of the peninsula, will increase and spread to more areas. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated warnings for high temperatures in several autonomous communities this Monday.
Specifically, temperatures will be significantly high this Monday in Andalusia (Córdoba, Huelva, Jaén and Seville), Castilla-La Mancha (Ciudad Real, Albacete, Cuenca and Toledo), Extremadura (Badajoz and Cáceres), the Community of Madrid and the Canary Islands (Gran Canaria, La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro and Tenerife).
