Stability and clear skies will prevail in much of the country, with temperatures that will still exceed 35ºC in areas of the Guadiana and Guadalquivir.

However, the most notable event of the coming days may be Tuesday, when the state agency's forecasts warn of widespread rain that may return to the Peninsula. "From Tuesday 17th, instability will increase in the east of the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands," warned Aemet, adding that "there will be stormy showers that may be intense."

Aemet has the highest alerts in place for Tuesday, and has issued a yellow alert for rain focused on the northern and southern coastal area of Castellón, in the Valencian Community. There, it is expected that there may be intense rainfall from 2 pm onwards and throughout the day.
