The cycle has been organised by the Department of Strategic Plans and European Projects “due to the good reception it has had in previous years with a massive influx of spectators on summer nights”, highlighted the councillor for the area, Antonio Peral. “Cinema in the street not only revitalises the city's squares and public spaces with an interesting leisure proposal, but also encourages coexistence and interaction between residents and visitors in the different neighbourhoods that host this cycle”, he added.

The start time for all screenings will be at 9.30pm and “Elemental” will be opening the sessions on Saturday, 17 August, in the Plaza de Gabriel Miró.

On Friday, August 23, on Avenida del Maestro José Garberí (PAU 5), “Vaya Vacaciones” will be screened.

“Barbie”, one of the biggest commercial successes of last year, will be the star of the session on Saturday, August 31, in the Plaza 25 de Mayo of the Central Market, better known as Plaza de las Flores.

The cycle will extend during the month of September with the screening of “The Lost City”, on Friday the 6th, in the Plaza del Doctor Gómez Ulla.

The “Cinema in the Street” cycle will end with “Mission Impossible: Death Reckoning” on Saturday, September 14, in Plaza de Argel.
