The Plenary Session of the Andalusian Parliament approved the bills for the recognition of two new Andalusian private universities based in Malaga: the Alfonso X el Sabio Mare Nostrum University and the European University of Andalusia.

The final debate on these two bills was held together, although the vote on them was carried out separately, although with the same result in both cases, with the votes in favour, by the PP and Vox and the rejection of the left-wing opposition.

These two new private universities join the other two that the Andalusian Government and Parliament have recognised under this term: the CEU Fernando III and the Atlantic-Mediterranean Technological University (Utamed).
