The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued a heat wave new alert, which will last at least until Sunday, according to the agency.
The warnings for high temperatures is distributed between the west, centre and northeast of the Peninsula, with the autonomous communities affected being Extremadura, Community of Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha, south of Castilla y León, Aragón and the interior-north of Catalonia.
The orange alerts, in this case, will be located in the south of the Community of Madrid, areas of Ciudad Real, the countryside of Cordoba, Jaén and towns on the border between Granada and Malaga, where temperatures could reach 40 degrees.
