Journeys between the two islands have increased by 9% between July and August, as well as 84.9% compared to January of this year. This is shown by the data from the Canary Islands Statistics Institute (ISTAC), compiled through figures from the Canary Islands airports, and prepared by the Lanzarote Data Centre.

So far this year there have been 565,018 travellers (counting entries to each island) between Gran Canaria and Lanzarote, the busiest route. The passenger flow between Lanzarote and the capital island has increased by 5.2% compared to the first eight months of last year.
