The Minister of Economy, Finance and European Funds, Carolina España, explained, in a parliamentary appearance, the impact of the tax reductions applied by the Andalusian Government, which have benefited more than four million taxpayers in the last income tax campaign for which data is available, corresponding to the year 2022 and published by the Tax Agency last summer.
Despite "leaving that money in the hands of taxpayers, more is collected because there are more IRPF taxpayers; more donations, more property sales, more economic activity in general and without these tax benefits and without administrative simplification and support for companies and self-employed workers, this overall increase in collection would not occur," the councilor said in a statement.
In this sense, she explained that since 2019 the Board has lowered the rate of the regional IRPF section and in 2022 approved the 4.3% deflation of the first tax brackets in the IRPF, as well as the exempt personal and family minimums.
"These measures, together with others aimed at the economic reactivation of Andalusia, far from causing a decrease in IRPF collection, have facilitated a considerable increase in it," the councilor stressed.
