Other countries that are similar to the rise recorded in Spain are Portugal and Greece, where increases also exceed 10 %. In the European Union as a whole, housing prices rose by 4.9 % in the fourth quarter of the year. The highest rises were in Bulgaria (18.3%), Hungary (13%) and Portugal (11.6%), while they fell in both France and Finland by 1.9%.
