In an interview with Cadena SER, quoted by Euronews, Monica García, Minister of Health, said she hoped the law would mark “a before and after” and put Spain “at the forefront of the fight against smoking”.

The legislation equates electronic cigarettes and heated tobacco devices with conventional tobacco, which will entail similar restrictions in public places. To this end, a decree is being drafted, which is awaiting approval at European level.
