The local government board has approved the proposal for the advancement of an organization study for the approved area of the Correos building, requested by Nitsba Spain SL, the company owned by an Israeli magnate who left with the property in 2019 after offering 23.5 million in a public subasta.
The new hotel will have around 200 rooms. The change to high-category hotel use, with a minimum of 178 to 200 rooms, restaurants, meeting rooms, commercial areas and parking, will allow for the creation of at least 150 work spaces.
The Consistorio sets out the approved urban planning process in the strategy to focus on quality tourism and segments such as luxury, which "will contribute to offering competitive sales, sustainable income and the diversification of the tourist offer".
