The new route will operate throughout the summer, with the airline offering a total of 2,500 seats for visiting the Slovenian capital, with flights taking place on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The inaugural flight of the new route between Madrid and Ljubljana, which will operate until 5 September, has already taken place and was carried out on a CRJ1000 aircraft, with capacity for 100 passengers, and was welcomed with the traditional welcoming ceremony at Jože Pučnik Airport in Ljubljana.
According to Hosteltur, Carmen Giraud, Sales Director for Europe, Middle East and Asia at Iberia, highlighted the importance of opening this route to strengthen relations between Spain and Slovenia, as well as to increase connectivity from the Slovenian capital, whose passengers can now travel with Iberia to more than 140 destinations in Latin America.
