The placing of the radars is part of the national plan, guided by The Directorate General of Traffic (DGT), which aims to install 122 new speed radars on regular roads and high-occupancy roads during the current year.
The location of the new radars will be signalled on the road, and published on the DGT website, where their exact location will be available for operator to add the new information to their navigators.
The drivers who exceed the speed limit, on the first month of the radar instalment, will receive, at home, a letter saying that the speed limit was exceeded. After that, the drivers will receive a fine to pay, according to the values described in the law.
