“Ukraine is ready to help restore the stable functioning of the energy networks of our partners and allies in Europe,” said Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko in a social media post, emphasising Kiev's readiness to help European Union (EU) countries in the event of power cuts.

In this regard, Galushchenko referred to Ukraine's “knowledge and experience” in the face of Russia's systematic attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that he had a conversation with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, where he insisted that Kiev was ready to offer the help of its specialists for the restoration work.

“Over the years of war and Russian attacks on our energy system, Ukraine has gained significant experience in dealing with any energy challenges, including blackouts,” the Ukrainian leader emphasised in a message on his social networks.

In Spain, ten hours after the fault, 38 per cent of electricity substations were still out of service and 57 per cent of demand was still without supply.
