The famous iced tea will stop being distributed on December 31, so in 2025 it will no longer be available, either in stores or in hospitality establishments. A total of 225,000 points of sale will be left without this drink.

The reason: the contract signed in 1993 by two well-known companies, Coca-Cola and Nestlé, which formed the joint venture Beverage Partners Worldwide (BPW), is ending. In 2017, both companies came to the conclusion that this relationship had an expiration date, so at the end of the year this collaboration will end and Nestea will disappear from Spain. This was confirmed by the director of Coca-Cola Iberia, Carlos Martín Carrión, who has already announced which drink will replace the famous iced tea.

The multinational's new venture is called Fuze Tea, a brand that is already owned by Coca-Cola, and which has been very successful in markets in almost 90 countries. What's more, it has been in Spanish stores since 2023.

Therefore, in just three months, lovers of the most famous tea drink will have to switch to Fuze Tea. Its packaging will be very similar, as it will continue to be sold in 33-centilitre cans, as well as in 1.5-litre bottles. This will also be the brand that competes with the other tea drink on the market, Lipton, which belongs to Pepsi.

Just a few days ago, Coca-Cola presented the new Fuze Tea range. "We trust that Fuze Tea will have the same success in Spain as in the other 90 countries in which it is present. With the same flavour and bottle that consumers already know and love, together with an innovative and broad portfolio of drinks, Coca-Cola is driving the Ready-to-Drink Tea category forward," said Carlos Martín, advancing that Fuze is the natural substitute for Nestea, also in terms of its flavour.

With the progressive launch of its black tea with lemon, calorie-free lemon, peach, mango-pineapple and passion fruit-magostine formats, Nestea has established itself as the pioneering brand in the soft drinks segment. A launch that, according to Coca-Cola, exceeded all expectations at the time.
