150,000 kilos of ripe tomatoes distributed in seven trucks have gone to the Valencian town of Silla for Buñol to dye the streets of the municipality red this Wednesday in its traditional Tomatina, where 22,000 attendees are expected.

The tomato battle begans at midday and ends at 1 p.m., although before and after there are numerous bars with music and various activities, distributed throughout the beautiful mountain town, 40 kilometers from Valencia.

All the kilos have been produced this year at Frutas y Verduras Massanassa in Silla (Valencia) where they say that they have been planning the production of these tomatoes since the end of April, which will be the ammunition for this Festival of International Tourist Interest, which brings together people from all over the world, with a special presence from Asian countries.
