More than 5.682 million euros were subscribed to incorporate the new companies in Spain, a value that is smaller than the one registered in 2023. Nevertheless, there were dissolved more 1,2 per cent of the companies, when compared to the dissolved companies in 2023.
Of the 25,090 companies that dissolved in 2024, 83% did so voluntarily, 8.3% through mergers with other companies and the remaining 8.6% for other reasons.
By region, Madrid, Catalonia and Andalusia lead the way in business creation.
The highest number of companies was created in 2024: Madrid (24,550 companies), Catalonia (20,512) and Andalusia, where 18,322 companies were created. The regions that formed the fewest companies last year were La Rioja (453), Cantabria (816) and Navarre (997).
