According to a report published last month and reported in the country's media, the number of foreigners affiliated to the Spanish Social Security system reached approximately 2,956,007 in January 2025, taking into account seasonal factors.

Moroccans topped the list with 343,188 people, ahead of Romanians, who came second with 329,809 people. The data also show that the number of Moroccans registered with Social Security has increased significantly in recent years. The same data indicated that 90,200 people were registered in 2024 compared to 2019.
