According to data from the EU statistics service, the highest figures were recorded in Italy and Sweden (both 84.1 years), Spain (84 years) and Luxembourg (83.5 years).

In contrast, the lowest figures were recorded in Bulgaria (75.9 years), Romania (76.6 years) and Latvia (76.7 years).

The National Statistics Institute, for its part, released the indicator for the 2022-2024 three-year period in May, with a value of 81.49 years.
