The UN date, quoted by Nexotur, showed that, in Europe were welcomed almost 340 million tourists, in the first half of the year, more 4%, when compared to the same period last year. The same report mentions that Central and Eastern Europe showed a great recovery, but stayed 11% below of the levels recorded before the covid-19 pandemic.

Arrivals in the Middle East declined by 4% this half year, despite experiencing a notable recovery after the pandemic, with arrivals increasing by 29% compared to the same period in 2019.
