“The new route has seen high demand, with 92% occupancy on the inaugural flight, which departed from Campinas to Madrid on Monday at 8:30 p.m. The operation will be carried out on Airbus A330 Neo aircraft, with a capacity for 239 passengers, including 34 seats in business class,” Azul said in a statement quoted by Publituris.

Currently, there are four flights per week in each direction. Flights from Campinas depart on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. From Madrid, flights to Campinas depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Publituris also reveals that during the European summer, between July and the end of October, Azul will operate five flights per week. In addition to the summer reinforcements, Azul says that “another reinforcement in the operation is planned for the second half of December,” during the Christmas and New Year season.

“The arrival of the Madrid route to our international airline network represents the strengthening of Azul in its expansion into Europe. It also reinforces our commitment to offering increasingly complete and connected experiences to our customers, who can continue their journey with our international partners,” says Abhi Shah, president of Azul.
