This is according to the mayor, Abel Caballero, who specified that the fines are between 751 euros and 1,500 in the case of a repeat offenders.
According to a report by Faro de Vigo, the mayor made it clear that the users who use them –mainly in Samil– do not do so to protect themselves from the wind, but to occupy a space –or reserve it–. “The regulations prohibit the use of obstacles so that lifeguards and rescue personnel can act. We are trying to fix it without imposing sanctions, but if this continues, we will impose fines," he explained.
