The operation resulted in the arrest of 20 people from different parts of Europe and the Americas, according to Euronews, in a joint effort between the National Police, Interpol and Europol.

The investigation began in 2024, with specialised teams detecting online groups where child exploitation content was shared. Seven people were arrested in Spain, including a healthcare professional and a teacher. According to Euronews, the former paid minors in Eastern Europe for pornographic content, while the latter was accused of possessing and distributing pornographic content on digital platforms.

During the searches, several mobile devices, computers and digital storage devices containing pornographic content were seized. Operation Víbora was carried out by the Spanish police, who presented it at a meeting with Interpol in Chile in 2024.
