In total, Spain has achieved 241 million euros in European aid to finance actions aimed at deploying an efficient and sustainable transport network through business projects of public and private entities.

In the case of the Port Authority of Seville (APS), it has received five million for intelligent systems to support navigation and port management; In the case of Almería, the six million they have obtained will go to the expansion of the Pechina Dock, as stated by the Government of Spain in a press release in which it is specified that, specifically, 22 initiatives validated by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility will receive the funds within the framework of the 2023 call of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), dedicated to the development of network transport infrastructure.

Of the selected projects, fifteen are developed exclusively in Spain by public and private companies, and seven are community projects with Spanish participation. Specifically, thirteen of the fifteen projects will have 208 million euros to carry out transport decarbonization and digitalization actions in eight autonomous communities: Aragón, Catalonia, Valencian Community, Andalusia, La Rioja, Cantabria, Madrid and Asturias.

Within Spain, and within the framework of the line intended for the basic network, Adif has achieved 78 million euros to co-finance the electrification of the Zaragoza-Teruel-Sagunto railway section, included in the Mediterranean Corridor.
