The Caretta caretta, popularly known as the Loggerhead turtle, will next Tuesday, July 23, on Mistral beach, in Marbella, in the first of the two days organized by ProDunas Marbella, be released into the wild.

According to Málaga Hoy, the turtles have been receiving intensive care, attention and a lot of dedication from the volunteers of this association and the Government of Andalusia for twelve months, at the Andalusian Marine Environment Management Centers (CEGMA) in Algeciras, and finally the time has come to release them to the sea.

These turtles, as noted at the beginning, have been cared for at CEGMA and are now ready to return to their natural habitat. Each sea turtle, now weighing approximately 1kg, has been carefully cared for and prepared for its return to the sea.
